Cabeza,
First of all, great name! I have no problem with dissenting opinions, especially ones like yours that are reasonable. In fact, some of our posts are less current; we can't get back to every place we visit that often.

Munjed's has, in truth, had its ups and downs. I'll probably be going back sometime soon, and I'll try to post something about it.

On that street, my disappointments have to do with Alto Cinco, whose prices are "above" the food somewhat. And I've never liked that silly name.

Not to discredit your review or anything (I really enjoy the blog, and I appreciate connecting with fellow foodies) but my wife and I went to Munjed's around 3-4 months ago, and the food was pretty awful. Everything seemed pre-packaged and processed, and even a bit on the "stale" side. It was definitely not what real Middle Eastern food should represent, in terms of nuanced fresh flavors. It also seemed rather dirty and dingy in there, as if no one had dusted the place in years. I had to order another beer to wash down the slightly acrid baba ghanoush. We didn't complain or anything; we actually felt sorry for them. I would say that it is as bad as the other equally filthy and subpar pseudo-Middle Eastern place on Marshal street.
